Mark White

Mark White joined Berkeley Lights Inc. in 2013 as the first molecular biologist. Since joining BLI, he has played a key role in the initial development of many of the core technology capabilities and assays alongside a multidisciplinary team of biologists and engineers. He is currently the Director of BioFoundry Applications and his team focuses on the development of tools and applications that automate cellular selection and library preparation for genomic sequencing. Mark obtained his Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences at the University of California, San Francisco in the lab of Deepak Srivastava. His thesis work investigated the molecular mechanisms of aortic valve disease using multi-omic approaches in primary and iPS cell models.
