Dr. Renée Tsolis is a Professor in the Department of Medical Microbiology and Immunology at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine in Davis, California, USA. She received her B.S. from Tufts University, a Diplom in Microbiology from Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen (Germany) and her Ph.D. from Oregon Health Sciences University. Her group’s research aims to uncover molecular and immunologic interactions between bacterial pathogens and their hosts that result in disease pathology. Currently, her group is investigating pathogen-induced ER stress and its role in promoting inflammation, and disease transmission. Publications from Dr. Tsolis’ group can be accessed here.
