VIB is a life sciences research institute in Flanders, Belgium. More than 1650 scientists from over 70 countries perform basic research into the molecular foundations of life.
The institute offers a program of international VIB conferences in various VIB research fields. From day one VIB has supported and sponsored scientific conferences to help VIB scientists connect with their colleagues.
In 2014 the VIB Conference Series was launched to further expand these activities and support them with a dedicated professional team.
The aims of the conference series are:
to showcase cutting edge research and exciting technological solutions presented by leading scientists in the life sciences fields
to offer junior researchers the opportunity to present their work during poster sessions and learn from the world’s experts during the Meet the Expert sessions
to establish opportunities for collaborations between scientists during an accompanying social program including lunches, conference dinners and receptions
VIB’s Science conferences relate to VIB's research areas:
- Cancer Biology
- Inflammation and Immunity
- Medical biotechnology
- Plant Systems Biology
- Structural Biology
In addition to catalyzing collaboration, VIB Conferences are the ideal forum for young scientists to learn from the world’s experts.
Tools & Technologies conferences
VIB’s Tools and Technologies conference aims to provide a forum for both academic top speakers and scientists from emerging life science companies to present their latest scientific achievements and exciting technological solutions. Tools and Technologies meetings feature typically a large audience participation from the Life Sciences Industry.
VIB science events
In addition to the VIB Conferences series, the conferences team also supports events organized by VIB scientists including recurring international events.
We look forward to welcoming you at a VIB Conference in the future!
