New Horizons in Alzheimer's Disease (Hybrid edition)
Keep me postedAdd to calendar

Alzheimer’s Disease research is accelerating with exciting new insights into molecular and cellular mechanisms. This upcoming conference brings together some of the thought leaders in the field with young investigators to stimulate discussion and interaction.

We anticipate further insights into the triangle amyloid, Tau and neuroinflammation and how these might provide novel therapeutic approaches.

The following topics will be the focus of this conference:

  • Genes and environment
  • Synapse and circuitry
  • Mechanisms and models of disease
  • Seeds and spreading of disease

Next to an inspiring scientific program, conference participants will have ample networking opportunities (both live and virtual) during the breaks, poster sessions and the conference dinner.

This conference is supported by:

Stichting Alzheimer Onderzoek

Attending a VIB Conference safely in times of COVID-19
VIB Conferences will follow the rules set up by the Belgium Government, you can read all the details regarding attending a VIB Conference here.

What to expect from this hybrid event
The scientific program (presentations, Q&A’s, and poster sessions) will be available for both live and virtual audiences. The virtual platform also offers several ways of interacting with each other through (video) chat. On top of this there will be live poster presentations for those attending the event in Leuven. Talks will be recorded and made available after the event, with approval of the speakers.

Information for abstract submissions
The best thirteen abstracts were given a short talk slot in the plenary program. The deadline for poster presentations has passed. All accepted poster submissions will have a chance to win one of the two SAO Poster Prizes.
