Jenny Russinova

Eugenia (Jenny) Russinova is a group leader at the Center for Plant Systems Biology, VIB and a Professor at Ghent University, Ghent, Belgium. She completed her BSc and MS from Sofia University, Sofia, Bulgaria, her PhD from De Montfort University, Leicester, UK and did postdoctoral training at Wageningen University, Wageningen, The Netherlands. Her work examining the brassinosteroid signaling pathway has provided key information on the subcellular localization and trafficking of brassinosteroid receptor complex and how downstream factors such as GSK3-like kinases crosstalk with other signaling pathways. Dr. Russinova is a Reviewing Editor for Plant Cell (2015-), an EMBO member (2018-) and an international member of the National Academy of Sciences (2022-).
