Strategic science communication summer school
Scientists communicate every day. They explain their work to colleagues, pitch ideas to potential investors and industry partners, present at conferences, engage with policymakers, speak to journalists, and help the public understand scientific discoveries. Yet what works for one audience often fails with another.
This summer school is designed to help researchers make strategic communication choices based on their audience, goal, and context. Through an intensive week of interactive training and practice, participants will learn how to transform complex scientific information into audience action.
Throughout the program, participants will develop a communication product tailored to a specific audience of their choice. At registration, participants select one of three tracks:

Afternoon workshop: Practice presentations and pitches within your audience group.

Afternoon: Final showcase event where participants present their communication product to fellow participants and trainers.
