Lisa Thyrion

Lisa is a Project Manager within the Training & Conferences team, where she coordinates the content development for scientific conferences and the implementation of training initiatives.

Lisa brings a strong academic background and a multidisciplinary perspective to her work. She holds a Master’s degree in Biotechnology, a Master’s degree in Healthcare Management and Policy, and a PhD in Medical Sciences. Before joining VIB, Lisa gained experience in the pharmaceutical industry, where she served as a key scientific contact for internal teams and external stakeholders, worked on reimbursement dossiers, and developed and delivered medical training. Her work spanned several therapeutic areas, including neuroscience, respiratory diseases, rare diseases, and cardiovascular, metabolic, and renal disorders.

In her role, she is passionate about driving innovation by shaping the knowledge exchange ecosystem within VIB to connect people, foster collaboration, and support professional development in life sciences.
