Biography

Ao Chen joined BGI-research in 2013 and helped founding the Institute of Biochemistry.

The Institute of Biochemistry focuses on “Decode” and “Recode” of life. To do so, we are working together with Complete Genomics to develop core sequencing technologies. Most of which have been successfully applied to MGI sequencers, including DNA nanoball (DNB), cPAS, and both-end sequencing. With key instruments at hand, we are also exploring other frontiers, including Long Fragment Read (LFR), CRISPR and Stereomics.
