Beatriz Serrano-Solano
Beatriz Serrano-Solano is a senior scientific project manager at Euro-BioImaging ERIC, the European research infrastructure for biological and biomedical imaging. She works at the interface of life sciences, research infrastructures, and AI-driven image analysis, with a focus on interoperability and cross-disciplinary workflows. She is actively involved in European initiatives advancing AI for scientific discovery, with a focus on imaging, interoperability, and community-driven research ecosystems, such as AI4Life or OSCARS-FIESTA.
Together with Euro-BioImaging, she contributes to the SCIANCE project (https://www.sciance.eu/), a Horizon Europe initiative supporting the development of the Resource for AI Science in Europe (RAISE). SCIANCE brings together stakeholders across scientific domains, AI research centres, and digital infrastructures to define strategic research priorities, improve data and computing capabilities, and foster cross-disciplinary collaboration for a consolidated European AI-in-science ecosystem. As coordinator of the Life Sciences within SCIANCE, Euro-BioImaging ensures that the community’s strategic priorities and research requirements are comprehensively represented in the development of the European AI-in-science agenda.
Beatriz has a background in computational biology and bioimage analysis and works towards enabling open, reproducible, and scalable AI-driven research across disciplines.
