David Dyment

Dr. David Dyment is an associate professor at the University of Ottawa and a clinical geneticist at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario. He has a research focus in rare epilepsy syndromes and is the recipient of a Tier 2 University of Ottawa Clinical Research Chair in Epilepsy Genetics. He received his DPhil at the Wellcome Trust for Human Genetics and subsequently completed his medical training at the University of Calgary. Currently his laboratory is focused on model systems of rare disease in addition to the identification of novel disease genes.
