Floor Stam

Floor Stam is CEO of remynd NV since September 2024. Floor was trained as a neuroscientist through a PhD and postdoctoral work in the Netherlands and at the Salk Institute in the USA and gained extensive experience leading and collaborating on projects at the forefront of science. During her postdoctoral years, Floor shifted her focus toward the translation of scientific discoveries into business and therapeutic applications through coursework at UC San Diego. She was recruited by VIB to join the Innovation and Business team in 2013, where she successfully forged multiple collaboration and licensing deals with companies such as J&J, Sanofi, Denali, and Oxford Nanopore Technologies—agreements that continue to generate royalty income for VIB today.

After switching to an Entrepreneur in Residence position, she co-founded and then joined Flamingo Therapeutics, a spin-off company born from a VIB-Ionis Pharmaceuticals collaboration as its COO and helped secure financing from an international VC consortium and non-dilutive grants and guided a merger with a French biotech. She led post-merger integration of people and processes and transitioned the discovery-stage organization into a clinical company. After completion of these transitions, she left Flamingo and joined remynd as its CEO shortly thereafter. At remynd, Floor is leading company strategy and fundraising to bring a second-generation, first-in-class small molecule for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease to the clinic.
