Gabriele Partel

Gabriele Partel is a postdoctoral researcher at the Laboratory of Computational Biology (LCB), VIB.AI. His work in the center focuses on developing machine learning and AI models for gene regulation and multi-omics data integration. Gabriele holds a Ph.D. in Computerized Image Processing from Uppsala University (SciLifeLab). During his Ph.D. he contributed to pioneering research in the filed of spatial transcriptomics by developing computational methods for decoding and analysis of in-situ sequencing data. His current research focuses on leveraging genomic foundation models to decode the gene regulatory mechanisms that drive cellular heterogeneity in health and disease.
