Geoff has spent his career working at the crossroads of chemistry, biology and microfluidics to help drive early stage research concepts into successful scientific ventures. Geoff is currently a Staff Scientist at 10x Genomics, a company dedicated to changing the definition of sequencing by developing new technologies for breakthrough applications including comprehensive genomics and high-throughput single cell transcriptomics. Prior to 10x Genomics, Geoff worked at Quantalife (acquired by Bio-Rad), which developed the third generation of PCR technology that quantifies nucleic acid molecules by Droplet Digital PCR. He has published extensively in his field and holds many patents for assays and instrumentation. Geoff earned his BSc in Forensic Science and his PhD in Chemistry from Deakin University, Australia.
