Prof. Ian T. Baldwin received his PhD in Chemical Ecology after attaining the BA of Biology at Dartmouth College from the Section of Neurobiology at Cornell University in 1989, rose through the academic ranks at SUNY Buffalo, and in 1996 became the founding director of the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Ecology in Jena Germany, where he currently heads the Department of Molecular Ecology. He has published more than 450 peer-reviewed papers, several book chapters and one book on chemically-mediated ecological interactions.
