Biography
Dr. Patel holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University. He has worked at several synthetic biology companies over the past 15 years, where he has helped advance technologies for high throughput de novo gene synthesis, DNA assembly and microbe engineering. As Director of the Technology Development group in Zymergen's Factory, Dr. Patel is responsible for creating and improving high-throughput workflows for engineering of various microbes.
