Keith Robison

Dr. Keith Robison is a Principal Scientist in the NGS Computational Biology group at Ginkgo Bioworks, a synthetic biology company located in Boston, Massachusetts USA. Since March 2020 this group has pivoted to develop sequencing approaches to address the COVID-19 pandemic. This includes a COVID testing solution, Concentric by Ginkgo.

He is on the Scientific Advisory Board of Day Zero Diagnostics, which is developing sequencing-based infectious disease diagnostics.

Prior to Ginkgo he spent 7 years at Warp Drive Bio as part of the founding scientific team, where he led survey sequencing of over 145,000 bacteria of pharmaceutical interest and generated high resolution genomes for nearly 2000 of these. He has also worked at Infinity Pharmaceuticals, Codon Devices and Millennium Pharmaceuticals.

He earned a B.S. at the University of Delaware and a Ph.D. from Harvard University.
