Pablo Vargas
Pablo Vargas is an expert in the study of leukocyte migration, a crucial process for immune responses. For over 20 years, he has dedicated himself to understanding how these cells navigate complex microenvironments by utilizing microfabricated devices—microchips with custom designs that create precise 3D landscapes. These innovations have enabled him to identify key cellular mechanisms that guide leukocyte migration in confined microenvironments. In 2022, Vargas established the LEUKOMOTION Lab at the INEM - Institut Necker Enfants Malades, in Paris, France. This lab aims to bridge the gap between fundamental research and clinical applications by contributing to the precise study of leukocyte dynamics in the hospital setting. The goal is to accelerate biomedical research by leveraging insights gained from the detailed investigation of leukocyte dynamics in 3D microenvironments.
