Pedro Elias Marques

Prof. Marques obtained his PhD in UFMG (Brazil), followed by postdoctoral training in the Hospital for Sick Children (Canada). Subsequently, he obtained a Professor position at KU Leuven, Belgium, where he initiated his independent research group. Prof. Marques is interested in the innate immune response to injury and cell death, with focus on the recruitment and effector mechanisms of phagocytes and its impact in the recovery from injury.
