As VP of Engineering at Hudson Robotics, Steven led the development of fully automated synthetic biology foundries tailored for the USDA and pharmaceutical applications. His expertise led to pivotal projects such as the Digital to Biological Converter and prototypes of the BioXP DNA Printer. He then joined SGI-DNA, leading the BioXP field applications team, and shaped the DNA library product portfolio.
Steven's leadership was instrumental in revitalizing Maxygen as CEO, focusing on molecular breeding to accelerate protein and enzyme evolution. His strategic acumen further shone as Chief Commercial Officer at Swift BioSciences, where he successfully enhanced commercial performance, ultimately facilitating the company's acquisition by IDT.
