Stijn Maertens

Stijn Maertens obtained a Master’s degree in Economics from Ghent University in 2009, followed by a Master’s degree in Financial Economics from UCL in 2010. After six years of experience in financial and economic roles, he gradually transitioned into the field of Human Resources in 2016, when he joined Pharmavize (now Ardena), a CDMO in the pharmaceutical industry.

Over the past nine years, Stijn has developed into a full-fledged HR professional, known for integrating economic insights into HR strategy. He has successfully established job classifications, salary structures, union negotiations and a wide range of HR policies covering work regulations, recruitment, payroll and telework. With proven expertise in dynamic and fast-evolving environments, Stijn continues to combine analytical rigor with a people-centered approach. In April 2025, he joined VIB Technologies to further contribute his expertise.
