Taylor Schreiber

Shattuck Labs, US
Biography

Taylor is a physician-scientist who has spent his career studying the translational immunobiology of TNF receptors in oncology and inflammation. During his training with Dr. Eckhard Podack at the University of Miami, Taylor first identified the role of TL1A/DR3 in governing regulatory T cell biology. He went on to found a biotechnology company, Shattuck Labs, which developed hexameric fusion protein agonists incorporating pre-formed trimers of various TNF ligands (including CD40L, OX40L, GITRL and LIGHT), several of which advanced through clinical trials in a number of oncology indications. The learnings from these clinical trials yielded important insights regarding the structural requirements for optimal TNFR activation. Shattuck is currently developing a first-in-class DR3 blocking antibody, SL-325, that has entered Phase 2 clinical studies in Crohn's disease.
