Biography
Salma Balazadeh is a Professor of Molecular Stress Physiology of Plants at Georg-August University Göttingen, Germany. She studied Cell and Molecular Biology at the University of Tehran and completed her PhD at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Plant Physiology / University of Potsdam (in 2008), followed by group leader positions at the University of Potsdam and the Max Planck Institute. From 2019–2025, she worked at Leiden University in the Netherlands as an associate professor before moving to Göttingen in 2025.
