In 2016 VIB launched a series of Bioinformatics conferences as part of the VIB conference series. Because of the increasing importance of bioinformatics in medical and agriculture science today and inspired by the success of the past editions, VIB is organizing the 5th edition of this event on 7-8 March 2024 in Leuven.

In addition to the invited researchers, we look forward to hearing about your research at this conference. You can submit your abstract before the deadline of 12 September for the poster session and selected talk slots.

On the 22nd of June, the VIB-UGent Center for Plant Systems Biology opened the doors to the first edition of the Translational Research in Crops (TRIC23) conference. This two-day event brought together scientists in the field of crop research from both industry and academia for various presentations, poster sessions, and peer networking.
