New horizons in neurodevelopment and neuropsychiatry
The development of the human brain relies on a highly coordinated interplay of genetic, molecular, cellular, and activity-dependent mechanisms that govern neuronal specification, circuit assembly, and functional maturation. Disruptions in these processes can profoundly affect brain function and contribute to a broad spectrum of neurodevelopmental and neuropsychiatric disorders. New Horizons in Neurodevelopment and Neuropsychiatry brings together leading experts and emerging researchers to discuss cutting-edge discoveries across multiple scales of brain organization, sharing the latest perspectives on:
Activity-dependent mechanisms
Neurodevelopmental and neuropsychiatric disorders
Neurogenetics
Neural circuit molecular wiring
Thalamocortical circuits
Human brain development
Neural cell fate specification
Join us in engaging with leaders in the field, and help shape future directions in understanding the developing brain in health and disease.
Travel grant deadline: 1 July 2027.
Abstract deadline: 8 July 2027.
Participants are invited to submit an abstract for a poster and/or oral presentation. The best abstracts will be selected for oral presentations in the scientific program, and the best poster will be awarded the Cell Press Poster Prize!
You can submit an abstract for a poster and/or oral presentation. You do not have to register before submitting your abstract.
We offer travel grants to international junior scientists to support their participation in the conference. The travel grants reimburse travel costs up to €400 per awardee. The deadline for applying for financial support is 1 July 2027, 23:59 CET.
