Biography
Caroline studied molecular and cellular biology at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). Currently, she works in the laboratories of Francis Impens at VIB and Bart Dermaut at Ghent University Hospital (UZGent), as PhD student.
Focusing on Moyamoya disease, a rare and progressive brain disorder, Caroline's research spans multidisciplinary approaches, integrating a patient cohort, animal studies, and in vitro research. Through this comprehensive approach, she aims to elucidate the complex molecular mechanisms underlying Moyamoya disease
