Chris Rieken

Chris Rieken has been with Akoya Biosciences since 2020 in various commercial roles and currently leads the global field support and service teams, along with the internal Discovery Applications team. Prior to joining Akoya, Chris was part of the Research Microscopy Solutions group at Carl Zeiss where he held customer-facing positions in the sales and imaging applications teams. Prior to moving to industry, he worked at the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole, Massachusetts, developing a novel imaging assay to interrogate the complex human microbiome. Combining fluorescence in situ hybridization and spectral imaging techniques, this assay led to insights about the spatial relationships and sophisticated structures formed by microbes in oral plaques.
