Biography

Jacqueline has had the privilege to serve the Global Health mission at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation since 2017 as Senior Program Officer on the Vaccines and Biologics Discovery team. She leads several programs to identify and develop monoclonal antibodies and alternative biologics that are globally accessible and affordable for the prevention of RSV, malaria, COVID, HIV and AMR. In addition, she explores novel technological platforms to provide innovative solutions for reducing the cost of manufacturing and delivery of biologics.

In addition, she is a member of the new Global Immunology and Immune Sequencing for Epidemic Response (GIISER) initiative to enable local antibody discovery in low- and middle-income countries. Before joining the foundation, she served as Executive Director Research, Inflammation at Amgen, Inc. where she performed innovative research and drug development in autoimmune and inflammatory disease from Discovery through Ph1/2 clinical studies. Jacqueline holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from University of Connecticut and a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from University California, Irvine.
