Biography
Dr. Justin Walley is an Associate Professor in the Department of Plant Pathology, Entomology, and Microbiology as well as a Faculty Scholar in the Plant Sciences Institute at Iowa State University. He received his PhD in Plant Biology from UC Davis and was a NIH postdoctoral fellow at UC San Diego with Dr. Steven Briggs. His group investigates molecular mechanisms that underpin plant growth, development, and environmental responses. His laboratory specializes in mass spectrometry-based proteomics and uses systems biology to integrate these data with other types of omics datasets, such as transcriptome profiling, to generate hypotheses we test using various biochemical and genetic approaches.
