Biography

Mrs. Müller Foxworth carried out her Master’s project at the Leibniz Institute for Aging research FLI in Jena in 2017, deciphering the role of the Wilms’ Tumour Factor 1 in perinatal development in Zebra fish and mice. She went on to support the group of Dr. Yvonne Döring at the Institute for Cardiovascular Prevention at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. Here, she focused on the complex interaction of immune cell populations in a chronic disease model of diet-induced atherosclerosis. In 2019, Mrs. Müller Foxworth joined the group of Dr. Monica Yabal at the Institute for Immunology at Technical University Munich. Since then, she has been working on her PhD project investigating intestinal inflammation in XIAP-deficiency. Currently, Mrs. Müller Foxworth is elucidating the contribution of specialized myeloid immune cell populations to the intestinal phenotype displayed in XIAP-deficient mice.
