Peter Rijnbeek

Peter Rijnbeek is Professor of Medical Informatics and is the Chair of the Department of Medical Informatics at the Erasmus MC, The Netherlands. He leads the Health Data Science research line which aims to produce clinically actionable insights from observational health data by enabling data-driven healthcare. Prof. Rijnbeek is the coordinator of the European Health Data and Evidence Network IMI project and is leading the DARWIN EU Coordination Center. At Erasmus MC, he is the chair of the steering group to establish an AI Expertise Center that enables the responsible development, implementation, and monitoring of actionable AI to improve the quality and efficiency of health care and business operations.
