Biography
Sara Mostafavi earned her PhD in Computer Science from the University of Toronto, and performed her postdoctoral research in machine learning and computational biology at Stanford university. Currently, Sara Mostafavi is an Associate Professor in the School of Computer Science and Engineering at University of Washington (UW). Before UW, she was a faculty member in the Department of Statistics and Medical Genetics at University of British Columbia (UBC). She was a recipient of the Canada CIFAR AI Chair, and Canada Research Chair in Computational Biology.
