Biography
Sergey Ovchinnikov received his PhD at the University of Washington working on protein evolution with application towards protein structure prediction. Today he is a Fellow at Harvard University with his own research group developing methods for understanding the origins and evolution of life, from single cell to complex multicellular organisms by combining computational, structural, and phylogenetic information. Most recently, he got sidetracked working on protein design.
