Sherly Mardiana

Sherly Mardiana serves as a Principal Scientist in the Research/ Discovery Group at Carisma Therapeutics, where she focuses on developing novel approaches for macrophage-based therapies in solid cancer. Sherly obtained her PhD from the University of Melbourne, Australia, with a focus on developing novel combination approaches to enhance CAR T cell efficacy in solid tumors. After completion of her PhD, Sherly spent 3 years as a postdoctoral trainee at the University of Pennsylvania under the supervision of Dr. Saar Gill, working on therapeutic combinations for hematological malignancies including B-cell ALL and AML. Overall, Sherly has over 10 years of experience in developing adoptive cell therapy for both solid and blood cancers, specializing in chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-based T cell and macrophage therapies.
