Biography
Our research group is interested in understanding the role of Transient Receptor Potential vanilloid family type 2 (TRPV2) cation channel in cellular mechanical responses. Currently, we have two main areas of research: First is to reveal the molecular mechanism of cardiac mechanotransduction related to physiological and pathological remodeling of the hearts using molecular physiological techniques. Second is to understand the role of TRPV2 channels in cardiac, skeletal and smooth-muscle cells using tissue-specific TRPV2-deficient mice.
